"The xCELLigence system proved to be a unique and invaluable technology in the development of new therapeutics for the steroid hormone sensitive cancers. It enabled us to analyze detailed proliferation dynamics of various cancer cell types, in response to manipulation of complex signaling network by steroid hormone receptors and enzymes involved in the steroid hormone biosyntesis."

Dr. David Sedlák

Institute of Molecular Genetics of the ASCR, Prague, Czech Republic

"The xCELLigence RTCA DP system is an easy to use platform with intuitive software and a variety of online tutorials for beginners and experience users. It is great tool for our cell therapies development, our laboratory obtained exciting results for cytotoxicity assays using adherent and suspension cells"

Dr Mirabela Cristea

Center for gene and cellular therapies in the treatment of cancer (OncoGen), Timisoara, Romania

"By skipping the guesswork associated with end-point assays and eliminating the time- and labor-intensive steps of traditional cell-based assays, real-time cell analysis with the xCELLigence RTCA DP vastly improves efficiency and overall productivity. By eliminating the need for labels/dyes, the physiological relevance of acquired data is maximized"

Dr. Veréb Zoltán

Faculty of Medicine, University of Szeged, Hungary

"xCELLigence system is helping my research with fast and reliable screening experiments on cells proliferation, migration and invasion under different cells growth conditions."

Dr. Joanna Kozak

Medical University of Lublin, Human Anatomy Department

"We purchased the system as we had a good experience with it in past – our group works in the field of nanomedicine. In experiments, various nanomaterials (carbon, magnetic particles) are modified by antitumor drugs and other molecules for specific targeting of tumor cells.
The the greatest benefit of the system is that the experiments are easy to set up, the data are obtained in a relatively short time without the need for more complicated sample manipulation. The method makes it possible not only to monitor the increasing number of cells, but also to evaluate the progress of this process - to elegantly determine the growth characteristics of the studied cells and to test the substances used. The process is completely independent of the human factor, thereby minimizing common experimental errors."

xCELLigence MP - Agilent technologies

Higher throughput for xCELLigence cell based assay

The RTCA MP Station is located inside a tissue culture incubator and is capable of switching any one of the wells on any of six E-Plates to the RTCA Analyzer for impedance measurement. Each of the six E-Plate holders can be used independently under the RTCA Software. The RTCA Analyzer can automatically select wells for measurement and continuously transfer measured impedance data to the computer. Cell Index values, derived from the measured impedances, are continuously displayed on the Software user interface.

The RTCA MP Instrument is composed of four main components:

  • RTCA Analyzer
  • RTCA MP Station
  • RTCA Control Unit
  • E-Plate 96

RTCA MP Instrument Highlights:

  • Higher assay throughput: Accommodates up to six E-Plates simultaneously
  • Flexibility: Independent operation of six E-Plates by up to six different users
  • Easy to use: Motorized mechanism for E-Plate engagement onto RTCA MP Station
  • Clear data presentation: 96-well graph shows individual Cell Index curves for all 96 wells
